Our Student Scholarship 2025 Recipient is
Chloe Cowdrey!

The CTMTA Scholarship Committee is excited to announce the recipient of our 2025 scholarship: Chloe Cowdrey! She writes: "I am honored to be chosen as the recipient of the 2025 Central Texas Music Therapy Association scholarship! I am beyond excited to begin my career as a soon to be board-certified music therapist! I discovered the field of music therapy while pursuing my passions in the fine arts as a singer in high school. It was life changing to discover a field that blended my passions of music and psychology. I soon attended Texas Woman's University in the Fall of 2020, to pursue a bachelor's degree in music therapy. I recently completed my music therapy internship at Sound Starts Music in March of this year. I am thankful for the wonderful supervisors, mentorship, and training I have received through both my internship and schooling. The most rewarding aspect has been the wonderful client relationships I have built and will continue to build. I will soon be working as a contractor in the Fort Worth area to establish professional roots in my hometown. I plan to pursue a master's degree in counseling in the Fall of 2025. Warm regards!"
Membership Benefits
Music therapists enjoy many benefits as members. Monthly meetings offer an opportunity for members to network, share ideas and techniques, and enjoy professional presentations relevant to the field. CTMTA holds an annual conference to support members in completing continuing education requirements, and paid members receive a reduced registration. Members regularly share job opportunities and events happening in their community.
